La registrazione dello show per la TV tedesca coglie Peter Hammill nel suo splendore, e in quello che potrebbe essere considerato nel suo momento migliore. Dopo aver registrato il disco Sitting Targets, Peter era in piena modalità new wave, ed aveva necessità di un gruppo rock da portare in tour. Il quartetto (due chitarre, basso e batteria) avrebbe preso il nome di K Group. dallo pseudonimo adottato da Peter, K.
Nel 1981 non era ancora stato registrato nessuno dei due dischi del K Group, ed il repertorio attinge perciò principalmente a Sitting Targets ed alla trilogia monocromatica. Canzoni splendide, moderne, ricche di energia rock e di lirismo. Ancora una volta Hammill rappresentava una sorta di gemello (notturno) separato alla nascita di Peter Gabriel - destino che accomunava i due dai giorni in cui Van Der Graaf Generator e Genesis incidevano per la Charisma Records.
